Civic Week Sprints

Held at the Beacon Leisure Centre during Civic Week each year in place of the Tuesday night training session.

Swimmers are grouped by age and compete in heats and finals over shorter distances (25m or 50m) in freestyle and back crawl. These will consist of heats and finals depending on numbers.

Categories used in recent years have been age groups in boys & girls (age on day of swim): 7 & under; 9 & under; 11 & under; 12 & over

When attending the civic week sprints children should bring an extra towel for poolside, a top to wear between swims, a light snack and drink for between races.

This year the Sprints will take place on Tuesday 21st June 2022
